Electrospray paper

A new paper on electrospray by Alexandra Patriksson, Erik Marklund and David has been accepted for publication in Biochemistry. This is the first in a series of papers where we investigate what happens when a protein is slowly transferred from solution to the gas phase. We have previously published two papers with combined experimental (Mass Spectrometry) and theoretical (MD) material together with the group of Roman Zubarev .


Gordon Conference

Three members from the group, Alexandra, Carl and David, are currently attending the Gordon Research Conference on Computational Chemistry,at Les Diablerets in the Swiss alps. The beautiful setting of the village against a 3000 m massif is very stimulating for great discussion in and outside the lecture hall.


Junior Faculty Award

David van der Spoel was given the "HP Outstanding Junior Faculty Award" at the ACS meeting in San Francisco, for his new algorithm to obtain kinetics information from multiple simulations. This work was published in Phys. Rev. Lett. earlier this year.

The paper "Lifting a Wet Glass from the Table: A Miscroscopic Picture" was featured in Nature, 29th of June 2006. The link is here , unfortunately it requires so-called Premum Plus access.
